Though he wasn’t sure how the logistics of it would work, Washington Nationals’ skipper Davey Martinez told reporters before the club’s doubleheader with the Atlanta Braves on Wednesday that it was possible that some of the players placed on the IL before prior to Monday’s season opener could return during the current road trip to LA and St. Louis.
“It’s a possibility, it really is. The good news is that these guys are testing negative with the nasal swab and the saliva test. They have been,” Martinez said.
“So that’s encouraging for us.
