The Nationals have been the talk of the baseball world over the past 48 hours. After being swept by the Boston Red Sox over the weekend, they fired manager Davey Martinez, with the club since 2018, and general manager Mike Rizzo, with the club since 2007. Now, they will enter the first game of their new era with new interim Miguel Cairo and interim general manager Mike DeBartolo at the helm.
The Nationals first lineup in the Cairo era looks similar to a standard Davey lineup versus righties, with the only difference being Riley Adams is behind the dish with Keibert Ruiz going back on the IL.
