Washington Nationals’ 2021 roster: Who’s left from 2019 World Series’ roster?

WASHINGTON - When Daniel Hudson struck out Michael Brantley for the last out of the 2019 World Series, the other players on the field who also celebrated included catcher Yan Gomes, shortstop Trea Turner, and outfielders Victor Robles and Juan Soto.

Rushing to join the party were starting pitchers Stephen Strasburg, the World Series MVP; Max Scherzer and Patrick Corbin, and relievers Tanner Rainey and Wander Suero.

Just over a year later, those players – along with pitcher Joe Ross, who opted out of the 2020 season – are the only Nationals still on the official roster.
