Suzuki's 2 HRs, Bourjos' clutch hit lift Braves

WASHINGTON -- Peter Bourjos pushed a two-run single past a drawn-in Nationals infield to drive in the game-winning runs in a 5-3 Braves victory in the 12th inning on Wednesday afternoon at Nationals Park. The win helps the Braves avoid a three-game sweep in a game they endured multiple Nationals rallies.

Washington trailed entering the ninth inning before Matt Adams launched a game-tying solo home run against Braves closer Arodys Vizcaino to force the game into extra innings. After Kurt Suzuki's solo home run in the 11th -- and second of the afternoon -- put Atlanta back on top, an RBI double from Howie Kendrick in the bottom of the inning tied the game again.
