Stephen Strasburg leaves Nationals' game early with apparent injury

Washington Nationals right-hander Stephen Strasburg left Saturday’s game in the fourth inning with a trainer at his side.

In his third start since returning from the disabled list, Strasburg grimaced after delivering a pitch to San Francisco Giants first baseman Brandon Belt. He appeared to grab his left side.

Manager Matt Williams, pitching coach Steve McCatty and assistant athletic trainer Steve Gober quickly jogged out to the mound to check on the right-hander. After a lengthy discussion, Strasburg trudged toward the dugout. Tanner Roark replaced him on the mound.
