SAN DIEGO -- The Nationals have created ways for Matt Adams to remain in their lineup for the past week, and their hottest hitter continues to reward them. Adams helped lead the Nationals offense on Monday night against the Padres with two home runs and five RBIs.
It was Adams' seventh career multihomer game and his second in a week. He homered twice on May 1 against the Pirates and has seven home runs and 13 RBIs in seven games this month.

Both of his home runs in the series opener at Petco Park were crushed.
