Report: Nationals agree to terms with Lind

The Washington Nationals have agreed to contract terms with first baseman Adam Lind, MLB Network insider Jon Heyman reported Monday. ESPN's Jim Bowden was first to report the two sides were close to a deal.

The club has not confirmed the signing, which is pending a physical.

Lind hit .239 with 20 home runs and 58 RBIs in 126 games for the Seattle Mariners in 2016.

The 33-year-old gives the Nationals a left-handed power bat to pair with the right-handed hitting Ryan Zimmerman at first base.
