The Washington Nationals snuck back into the 2025 offseason headlines yet again on Wednesday afternoon, and again it was for good reason. Since the team had so much to accomplish heading into this offseason, this is another encouraging development and a change from the way things had been done previously under the old regime.
Mike Rizzo had gotten complacent as the General Manager of the Nationals, and the performance of the organization since winning the World Series in 2019 completely reflected that. The organization was behind in so many aspects of their franchise that some fans still have not even realized all of the aspects in which the team was falling behind.
