James Wood Beats The Rockies As Washington Nationals Stop Skid

It was looking like an all too familiar ending for the Nats as they trailed 3-2 entering the bottom of the 11th inning. That was, however, until James Wood had perhaps his biggest hit as a Nat yet, a 2-run blast to give the Nationals the 4-3 victory and avoid tying the franchise record in consecutive losses.

The Nats jumped out to a lead early as James Wood delivered a 2-run bomb to the red porch seats off Rockies starter Chase Dollander, who finished the day with a line of 6 innings pitched and 2 runs allowed.
