Aides to far-left House members arrested for climate change sit-in at Chuck Schumer’s office

Staffers for several far-left House Democrats were arrested Monday for protesting inside Senate Majority Leader Charles E. Schumer’s office in the Capitol complex, where they demand he reopen negotiations to force through a party-line climate change bill.

The six aides who invaded the New York Democrat’s office work for some of the House’s most progressive members including Reps. Cori Bush of Missouri, Jamaal Bowman of New York, Ro Khanna of California, Jamie Raskin of Maryland and Ilhan Omar of Minnesota.

It was the latest manifestation of Democratic Party infighting over climate change, which last week included outrage voiced by the far left over what they considered weak moves by President Biden to address what they consider a “climate emergency” threatening mankind.
