WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- Winning has become an expectation in D.C., with a Nationals team fully transformed from the early years of triple-digit losses and last-place finishes into a consistent winner. Four division titles since 2012 will do that for a team.
Which is why missing out on October last year left many fans with a bad taste in their mouths. Well, the Nationals spent an entire winter trying to erase that taste.
Yan Gomes and Kurt Suzuki were brought in to turn around the catching position, while Patrick Corbin and Anibal Sanchez were added to revamp the rotation.
