STITCH N’ PITCH – Friday, May 13

The Nationals have teamed up with the National NeedleArts Association to host the annual Stitch n’ Pitch event, which gives fans the opportunity to crochet, knit or embroider for a great cause, all while cheering on the Nationals. In addition to combining two American traditions – needle arts and baseball – participants will contribute eight inch squares to help construct blankets that will be donated to the Warrior Transition Unit at Fort Belvoir for injured members of the military returning from duty.

Stitch n’ Pitch attendees can also visit the Needlework Expo in Conference Rooms 3 and 4 behind Section 203 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. to purchase tools and supplies or chat with needle arts experts. The Expo will feature local vendors, offer instructional presentations and showcase the completed portions of the blankets in a designated area for all to see. The first 500 visitors to the Expo will also receive a special promotional item. Stitch n’ Pitch participants can purchase Left Field Mezzanine seats for the discounted price of $23 at nationals.com/stitchnpitch or call 202.675.NATS(6287).
