The Washington Nationals will be going for their 7th straight win tonight and veteran pitcher Jason Marquis will be on the mound. Marquis will be facing the Baltimore Orioles who roughed him up a bit in their previous meeting last month for 8 hits and 5 runs in only 4 innings.
Since that game Marquis has been in a groove going 2-0 with a 1.53 ERA in three starts. He's had a very nice bounce back season going 7-2 with a 3.67 ERA and he's 4-0 at Nationals Park this season.
The Nationals offense roared to life and scored 25 runs in their sweep of the Cardinals and raised their team batting average from .229 to .234, I hope it continues!
