In a decision that had been rumored for the last couple of days it appears that 4 Star Asa Turner from Carlsbad HS, CA recommitted to attend the University of Washington. Turner has been committed to UW but backed off that commitment when Notre Dame started pushing hard. In the end Turner’s relationship with Jimmy Lake and his desire to play safety swayed his decision back to UW. Keeping Turner in the class is huge and Turner’s frame is unlike any current Husky safety on the roster (he is listed at roughly 6’3” and around 195 pounds). Turner played in both the Army All American game and the Poly Bowl and had offers from USC, Notre Dame, and Oregon.
