Washington's Jake Browning surpasses Cody Pickett's passing yardage mark

SEATTLE -- Jake Browning became Washington's all-time leader in passing yards Saturday, breaking a record set 15 years ago by Cody Pickett.

Browning took over the top spot on a 9-yard pass to Drew Sample late in the second quarter of the Huskies' 35-7 victory over BYU, nudging him past Pickett's career mark of 10,220 yards. He now has 10,347 yards with at least seven regular-season games left in his career.

"I think it's cool to be along with some of the names of guys who've accomplished great things here," Browning said.
