Washington football’s new social media presence

Jimmy Lake and the rest of the Washington football staff have been making the most of the extended recruiting dead period caused by some of the COVID-19 fallout. A special shoutout to the media/video team for putting out incredible graphics and short videos displaying the University of Washington throughout this period.

A big switch up from the Chris Petersen era, Lake has put extra emphasis on the in-state class, and with the inability to hold any type of visits, FaceTime and social media marketing are the only way schools can sell themselves to a player.

Washington has done a great job selling the hometown hero narrative, using players like Mario Bailey, Lawyer Milloy, Budda Baker, and Myles Gaskin to sell that appeal to the local stars.
