Washington football lands the nation’s top long snapper

When it comes to the long snapper position, Washington football has one of the best in senior AJ Carty, who would probably be in consideration as an All-American if long snappers qualified for the award. Carty will definitely find a job at the NFL level, and it’s going to be tough to replace a steadfast player like him.

Enter Jaden Green, a 6’0, 200-pound long snapper out of Mesa, Arizona. For reference, Carty is 6’3, 243, so putting some weight on Green when he gets to campus is key. If he’s able to get on campus early, he’ll have more time with strength coach Tim Socha to put on some weight and potentially be ready to start the 2020 season.
