Unprompted, Washington senior quarterback Jake Browning voiced support for struggling teammate Chico McClatcher after the Huskies’ 27-13 victory over Colorado on Saturday.
“I just want to say something: Chico McClatcher is one of the best players on this team, has been for a long time. He’s one of the best players I’ve ever played with,” Browning said.
McClatcher fumbled twice Saturday.
The Huskies recovered his fumble on the game’s opening kickoff.
They didn’t recover his fumble at the Colorado 1-yard line on the second play of the fourth quarter.
