Andrew Andrews steps toward a possible professional basketball career begins next week in Virginia.
The former Washington basketball star accepted an invitation to the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament on April 13-17. The five-day, 12-game showcase is comprised of 64 seniors who play on one of the eight teams in front of fans and scouts representing NBA and international teams.
Andrews is one of several Pac-12 players who have committed to the pre-draft tourney including Arizona’s Ryan Anderson and Gabe York. The full roster will be released Monday.
Former UW players who participated in the PIT include Abdul Gaddy (2013), Aziz N’Diaye (2013) and Jon Brockman (2009).
