MINNEAPOLIS — Manager Lloyd McClendon has said it after bad starts and brilliant ones alike. It’s not a scolding, but so much a reminder — don’t place too much emphasis on the most recent start for Taijuan Walker. At the tender age of 22 and in his first full season in the big leagues, Walker is far from a finished product. And because of that, he could have a clunker one week and pitching brilliance the next.
