Washington officially signed German prospect Hannes Steinbach on April 16th, about 6 weeks ago. It was viewed as a nice signing at the time. Steinbach is very young for the Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) and was putting up solid numbers with 7.1 points and 5.5 rebounds per game at the time while coming off the bench for the Wurzburg Baskets.
A few days later, I wrote an article showing that Steinbach was already playing more and being more productive than the Wagner brothers Moritz and Franz who went on from the BBL to each star at Michigan and become 1st round NBA draft picks.
