Koral Costa hit a three-run homer and No. 7 Oregon scored nine runs in the sixth inning to pummel No. 8 Washington, 16-4 in six innings, for a three-game softball sweep Monday night.
The Ducks (23-4) scored six runs in the second inning, highlighted by Costa’s three-run homer.
The Huskies (19-6) rallied with three runs in the second on Casey Stangel’s homer and a two-run double by Tannon Snow.
But the Ducks exploded for nine runs in the sixth.
Gymnastics
• The Washington gymnastics team will continue its season with a trip to Salt Lake City for one of six NCAA regional meets on Saturday, April 2.
