- A season that once looked destined for the Women’s College World Series ended before reaching the regional finals for Husky Softball. After a win over Indiana to kick off the weekend, the Dawgs dropped their second game 3-2 to upstart Omaha, then lost 4-1 against regional host Missouri to end their season. As had been a problem in a late-season slump, the bats could not get going.
