Well, I quit my job down at the car wash
I left my mama a goodbye note
By sundown I’d left Kingston
With my Dots under my coat
- Last week, I posted the spring special teams preview, which included a discussion of Grady Gross’s bizarre midseason slump. Outside of a three-game stretch last year, Gross has hit almost 90% of his career field goals. The Seattle Times spoke to Gross after the weekend practice/scrimmage, and he is confident that he has put some of those struggles behind him. I found it interesting to hear Gross describing the finely-tuned machine of field goal kicking, and how little things go wrong on every kick, but the goal is to get few enough things wrong to still put the kick through the uprights.
