As much as Chris Lawson wants to move on, it’s been nearly impossible because the biggest play in his relatively young Washington Huskies career, has lived on loop this week.
When UW gathered Sunday to review its 17-10 upset win at Nebraska, coaches replayed his unbelievable sideline catch in which he hauled in a 24-yard throw over a defender before falling out of bounds.
“They were hyped,” Husky receivers coach Kevin Cummings said smiling when asked about the team’s reaction. “The whole room was going crazy.”
What was the best part of the play?
“It was really cool for me because it was fourth-and-18 and Chris runs a double move and he didn’t panic,” Cummings said.
