ESTERO, Fla. — Amber Melgoza recorded her second 20-point game of the season with 21, but turnovers cost the Washington women’s basketball team in a 65-57 loss to Fordham on Saturday night in the semifinals of the 2018 Gulf Coast Showcase at Hertz Arena.
The Huskies (3-2) shot 50 percent from the field but committed 21 turnovers, leading to 20 points for the Rams (4-2). Fordham also pulled down 16 offensive rebounds, leading to 14 second-chance points.
