Huskies use balanced attack to top Utah State in NCAA Tournament first round

David Crisp spent the last 8 minutes of Washington’s 78-61 victory over Utah State on the bench. At least figuratively.

Even after he fouled out, Crisp stayed engaged. He hardly spent any time actually in a seat. He was jumping, yelling, coaching — doing everything he could to help get the Huskies to the finish line without actually playing.

During that time, he said, his job was to provide energy.

Crisp and just about every other UW player did their jobs on Friday night, and the ninth-seeded Huskies needed something from everyone.
