Huskies quarterback Cyler Miles retires from football, citing hip injury

Incumbent starter had been on an indefinite leave of absence from the team.

Washington quarterback Cyler Miles has retired from football, citing a “chronic hip injury,” UW announced Monday afternoon.

Miles, the Huskies’ starting quarterback in 2014, had taken an indefinite leave from the program earlier this year and did not participate in spring practices.
