Former Husky QB Keith Price settling with the BC Lions

Since leaving Washington after the 2013 season, Keith Price has had a vagabond pro career, getting a brief stint with the Seahawks before spending the past two seasons on the practice squad of the CFL’s Saskatchewan Roughriders.

This week brought hopeful news for the former Husky star, who has stuck with the BC Lions as their third-string quarterback.

“It’s not like I’ve had a ton opportunities,” Price told the Vancouver Sun. “But any opportunity I get, I try to take advantage of it. I just want to compete.”

Price beat out Greg McGhee, who had been recruited to the Lions last year by Jeff Tedford, who is now working in a quality-control-type role with the Huskies.
