The University of Washington Huskies have as many as seven player projected in the 2017 NFL Draft. They performed well at the 2017 NFL Combine. In fact, wide receiver John Ross set a speed record. They performed well at the University of Washington Pro Day.
But injuries have derailed the hopes of cornerback Sidney Jones and pass rusher Joe Mathis. There is plenty of depth at defensive positions in the 2017 NFL draft, particularly at the defensive backs. That may have somewhat devalued the projection of safety Budda Baker, cornerback Kevin King, and defensive tackle Elijah Qualls.
