It’s no secret that Texas is arguably the best state in the country when it comes to high school football, and pumping out top-flight recruits every year, so obviously Washington football would want to get in on that, right? Chris Petersen tried to get his foot in the door, offering players from Texas early and trying his best to establish relationships with those guys, and every now and again it paid off.
Levi Onwuzurike is definitely Washington’s crown jewel when it comes to pulling players out of Texas, and Aaron Fuller made major contributions to the team as well.
