The conclusion of the regular season for most college football teams means conference championship games and bowl season are right around the corner. The Washington Huskies ended their season in disappointing fashion, losing 26-14 to No. 6 Oregon, but still saw a two-win improvement from last season for an 8-4 finish (5-4 Big Ten).
That record is more than good enough to be bowl-eligible, and although non College Football Playoff bowl games have seemingly become less meaningful year after year, Washington's will be a great opportunity for its young roster to play against a tough, non-conference opponent.
