Could the Huskies be in the mix for five-star recruit Kyle Ford?
A 6-foot-2 wide receiver from Orange, Calif., Ford was thought by many recruiting analysts to be favoring USC in his recruitment. But it appears Washington has gained ground after hosting Ford on his first official recruiting visit over the weekend.
“I loved it there, it was a great trip,” Ford told Greg Biggins of 247Sports.com on Sunday.
UW freshman defensive back Julius Irvin was Ford’s official host over the weekend. They were teammates at Servite High in Anaheim. He said he’s also close with UW freshmen receivers Marquis Spiker and Austin Osborne, and sophomore defensive back Keith Taylor, all Southern California natives.
