Andrew Andrews is last man standing from UW’s 2011 recruiting class

Andrew Andrews enters the twilight of his college basketball career with a major task of guiding a young Washington men’s basketball team filled with nine newcomers and seven freshmen.

He’s also moving from shooting guard to point guard, which will require him to run the offense like he did in high school at Portland’s Benson Tech.

The fifth-year senior is the last man standing from a 2011 UW recruiting class that included Tony Wroten (left after one year for NBA), Jernard Jarreau (transferred to Tulane), Hikeem Stewart (transferred to Kentucky Wesleyan) and Martin Breunig (transferred to Montana).
