Why Steven Montez reportedly wasn’t selected in the 2020 NFL Draft

The Washington Redskins have done a nice job of building up a quarterback room that has some intriguing young talent in it. Obviously, the headliner is 2019 first-round pick Dwayne Haskins, who struggled at times as a rookie but improved as the season went along. But there are some other players in the room as well.

The Redskins traded a fifth-round pick to the Carolina Panthers in exchange for Kyle Allen. Last season, Allen started 12 games for the Panthers. He slowed considerably after a poor start but the 24-year-old has the tools needed to continue developing and is a rock-solid backup at the very least.
