With the preseason underway, excitement is beginning to build as rookie draft picks start to show signs of living up to their draft status, and players on the margin start making a case for a spot on the 53-man roster.
It should really come as little surprise when players selected on days one and two of the draft look like they belong in the NFL. Like many authors and readers on Hogs Haven, though, I get the biggest thrill when the late-round draft picks, undrafted free agents, and other unlikely candidates show that they belong in the league as well.
