Steven Sims Jr. injured his toe against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 2, and has been limited by it ever since. Washington has placed him on injured reserve, giving him time to heal and opening up a needed roster spot. Sims can return after 3 weeks due to the modified IR rules in place this year because of COVID-19 concerns. Sims will continue to be replaced by WR Isaiah Wright in the slot and on returns.
The corresponding move was to sign OL Joshua Garnett who has been elevated to the active roster the last two weeks.
