Jets pact with Spencer Long set to become official when the new league year begins this afternoon

Jets plan on using Long as a center, the position the Nebraska product had started at the last two years.

Spencer Long will reportedly sign with the New York Jets when free agency officially starts at 4pm today. The Redskins had no plans of re-signing their former 3rd round pick from 2014. Long started games at guard to begin his career with the Redskins, but became a starter at center following Kory Lichtensteiger's injury in 2016.
