Washington Redskins’ charitable foundation recognized as award finalist

Sometimes it’s easy to take for granted what sports do for us. Sports bring people together. They have a unique way of emphasizing teamwork, loyalty, and collaboration. They teach accountability. Responsibility.

For the beneficiaries of the Washington Redskins’ charitable foundation, sports may mean even more. The organization was selected as one of sixteen finalists in contention for the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Award. There were originally 130 applicants all across the sports network of North America. It’s easy to see why Scot McCloughan has continued to donate to the foundation after his dismissal.

The recognition is well-deserved.
