It’s jersey number day for a lot of new Washington Commanders players. They only had five draft picks this year, and they all have their first number in the NFL. Adam Peters turned trade inquiries to pick Oregon OT Josh Conerly Jr. at No. 29 overall. He’ll be wearing No. 72 as he starts his NFL career competing for the starting right tackle spot. Ole Miss CB Trey Amos was taken in the second round and he’ll start with No. 23 which was worn by Marshon Lattimore last season. Lattimore is switching to No. 2 for his first full season with the Washington Commanders.
