Treylon Burks is pushing Commanders toward a decision they didn’t expect

The Washington Commanders dropped to 4-11 after their loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 16. Still, there are at least a few players who made a positive impact on an otherwise underwhelming evening. One of them was wide receiver Treylon Burks.

The Commanders led at halftime, but veteran quarterback Marcus Mariota left in the third quarter with a hand injury. After that, it felt like Washington never even had a chance. Josh Johnson went 5-for-9 for 43 passing yards and threw an interception as the game got away from Washington.

Before that, it was a dogfight.
