RG III injury, benching major events since Redskins last won NFC East

PHILADELPHIA -- The Washington Redskins last won the NFC East in 2012, winning seven straight games with rookie quarterback Robert Griffin III becoming a star. But even though it’s only been three years since they won that title, a lot has happened to the Redskins.

Griffin's knee injury. When the 2012 regular season ended, there was little doubt Griffin would star a long time for the Redskins. But a week later, late in a playoff loss to Seattle, things changed when Griffin tore multiple ligaments in his knee.
