Derek Carrier has shown his talent on more than one occasion this offseason. Often injured, he’s failed to latch on to a roster spot with the Redskins. But that doesn’t mean he isn’t valued elsewhere.
The Redskins have been trying to trade Carrier since the end of preseason Week 3, and their efforts finally paid off. Reports say Carrier has been traded to the Los Angeles Rams for a seventh round pick in next year’s draft.
The move is essentially a win for both sides. The Redskins managed to let go of a tight end talent and receive something in return as compensation.
