Redskins to hold joint practices with Jets

The New York Jets are coming to Richmond.

The Redskins will host the Jets for a series of joint practices Aug. 12-14 during the team’s training camp in Richmond, the team announced Tuesday.

The practices will be held before the teams face each other at FedEx Field on Thursday, Aug. 16.

This is the first time the Redskins will hold joint practices with another team since 2015, when they hosted the Houston Texans. Washington also hosted the New England Patriots in 2014.

“I’m extremely excited to welcome the Jets to Richmond for three days of practice,” Redskins coach Jay Gruden said in a statement.
