The Washington Redskins have signed former Pittsburgh Steelers backup inside linebacker Terence Garvin a week after he visited the team.
Garvin, 25, has spent the past three years as a special-teams contributor for Pittsburgh after entering the NFL as an undrafted free agent out of West Virginia.
The move gives Washington a key special teams player and improved depth behind starting inside linebackers Will Compton and Mason Foster.
Garvin (6-2, 222) is the third outside free agent to sign with Washington, joining defensive tackle Kendall Reyes and safety David Bruton Jr.
