The Redskins made several moves official today. They signed 9 players who were on the roster yesterday to the practice squad. This leaves them with one open spot. There were reports that the team also had interest in LB B.J. Blunt and TE Donald Parham Jr., but neither has been signed.
The Redskins also officially announced they claimed former Philadelphia Eagles RB Wendell Smallwood off waivers. In a corresponding move they announced the release of RB Byron Marshall.
Two other expected moves were announced today. RB Shaun Wilson and LB Jordan Brailford were placed on injured reserve.
