With the long-awaited return of center Kory Lichtensteiger to the active roster, the Redskins made a flurry of personnel moves Tuesday that should better equip them for a playoff run, beginning with Sunday’s first-round game against the Green Bay Packers at FedEx Field.
Lichtensteiger was activated Tuesday after spending eight weeks on the NFL’s short-term injured reserve list, which prohibited him from taking part in games as he worked to recover from a neck injury that affected the strength in his left shoulder. He has attended team meetings throughout and eased back to practice the last two weeks as a member of the scout team.
