The Washington Redskins made a critical roster decision on Tuesday afternoon. They parted ways with Craig Reynolds, releasing the undrafted rookie from their 53-man roster.
On the surface, cutting Reynolds made not seem like a big move for the Redskins. After all, why is parting ways with a running back who has played a grand total of 28 special teams snaps and none on defense a big deal?
Well, the real reason it’s a big deal is that it signifies the return of running back Derrius Guice.
Guice, the team’s second-round pick in 2018, hasn’t played since the first week of the season.
