Redskins RB Guice likely to miss time with knee injury

ASHBURN, Va. — Washington Redskins running back Derrius Guice suffered a knee injury in Sunday’s loss against the Philadelphia Eagles and is likely to miss some time.

Guice, who had 10 carries for 18 yards against the Eagles, suffered the injury to his right leg — which wasn’t the leg in which he tore his ACL last season. But it’s still a notable setback for the 22-year-old, who the Redskins named as their primary running back this week.

The injury now paves the way for Adrian Peterson to be the Redskins’ lead back again after the 34-year-old was inactive in Week 1.
