LANDOVER, Md. -- Washington Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins wasn’t perfect in the first half. But he wasn’t far from it, either.
Cousins completed 17 of 20 passes for 296 yards and three touchdowns in the first half, giving the Redskins a 27-14 lead over New Orleans. It was his best performance in one half in his four-year career, which includes 18 starts.
It helped that Cousins had DeSean Jackson he could throw to as they connected on a 42-yard pass during the first series. But Jackson wasn’t much of a threat thereafter.
